Art Tools For Drawing

You will find all the Art Tools for Drawing we use when producing our artworks, pencils, paper, erasers and a whole lot more.

Maybe you are like us, we started off with plain ordinary graphite drawing pencils, we followed lots of tutorials and gradually upgraded our pencils and drawing paper, when we did, our artwork improved no end.

So, here are our thoughts from learning and from using the different papers and pencils.

What Art Tools For Drawing Do We Use?

Best Pencils For Drawing

We have used many different pencils, colour, graphite and pastel and we now have our own favourite set of pencils which we will share with you here.

I am sure you have done the same and have your own favourite set of pencils, let us know what type you prefer, other visitors would love to hear what you use and how good they are.

How To Mount A Picture

Once you have a finished piece of art, the frame and the mount can make the picture pop.

We make all our own mounts for our pictures, this way you can choose the size and the colour you want, plus you can make two for a double mount.

Follow along with us and make your own.

We find mounts that come with picture frames are too wide, the one we have cut in this demonstration is just 20mm wide, but it is a perfect fit for our picture.

Best Paper For Pastel Art

There are many different types of papers for an artist to work on.

You can read our reviews on the papers we use and recommend.

A piece of art will look slightly different on each type of paper so it is a good idea to try a swatch of the paper before starting your drawing.

We buy our paper in large sheets and cut it down to whatever size we need for our drawing.
