Many many years ago when I first began drawing animals, I would get a lot of the drawing done and think to myself 'that's rubbish' and I would throw it in the bin, but hey you know what, one day I got to that stage of binning my work and instead I carried on and guess what, the finished artwork came out great.

So this is a great drawing tip, when you get to the stage where you want to give up or you think you have done a rubbish job on your drawing, take a break, even take a few days, then come back to it and carry on, just keep going and hopefully you will be surprised.

When we first started out, the drawing paper we used was plain ordinary copy paper, which was ok but definitely not good enough, as we improved our drawings we upgraded our drawing paper and our work improved no end.

Certain Papers are quite important for drawing depending on what pencils you are using, for instance Pastel Pencils are drawn on Pastel Paper and so on, all the papers will be listed and explained here on our site, we will show the you the difference using the papers.
