Ben
We had a long haired German Shepherd, we loved him dearly.
As a puppy he was so cute and did the funniest things.
I remember once we were at a doggy training hall and KJ was with Ben training him, he was only little.
I was sitting at the edge of the hall with my mum and all of a sudden Ben decided he didn't want to do training today and he run across the hall, leaving KJ standing there on his own, Ben left the floor, flew through the air and landed on my mums lap LOL, it was so funny, he snuggled up to her.
Ben also loved my brother, when we visited my brother at home, my brother would be laying on his fold back sofa chair as he had been to work and was having some feet up time.
We would come through the front door and Ben would charge towards my brother dive up onto him and smother him in kisses and the sofa chair would go backwards and the pair of them would end up on the floor in a heap, it was so funny.
One day Ben started to get a bad tummy and started losing weight, we went to the vets and he said he had a Bacterial Overgrowth which meant everything he ate went straight though him.
Ben was put on Antibiotics and it completely sorted him out, he was fine, but the vet said the medicine wouldn't last for ever, the day would come when they wouldn't work anymore, we dreaded that day.
Two years Ben was on antibiotics and the dreaded day came when they stopped working and the problem carried on. Ben lost so much weight, the vet said there was nothing more they could do and we had to have our beautiful German Shepherd put to sleep.
Well, I have never cried so much, it broke our hearts, I have a picture of him hanging on our living room wall and I think of him always.
Dear Ben, we love you so much, and I know we will meet again one day xxx
